“It is good to love many things, for therein lies the true strength….”  – Vincent Van Gogh

Beyond Van Gogh, created by Quebec based Normal Productions, is the combined creative genius of art historian Franny Curtat and creative director, Mathieu St. Arnaud.    The captivating exhibition currently showing at Ice Palace Studios in downtown Miami (1400 North Miami Avenue, Miami, FL 33136).

Exquisite.
Extraordinary.
Impactful.
Tantalizing.
Delightful.

Beyond Van Gogh is one of (at least) three Van Gogh exhibits currently touring the United States (Beyond Van Gogh, Immersive Van Gogh, and Van Gogh the Immersive Experience).     While I would love the opportunity to experience each, unique and different, I can’t imagine another experience accomplishing such an awe inspiring experience as this.

Beyond Van Gogh is a timed, ticketed, walk through designed in three sections.

The first sets the tone and tells the history of Vincent Van Gogh’s early life. His quest for the priesthood and relationship with his brother Theo, as documented by Theo’s letters displayed throughout, as they both pursued lives of art.   A short walk to the next section enables the viewer to catch their breaths, contemplate the beauty and wonder just experienced and move forward in gleeful expectation of what is waiting just ahead.

The gallery is where more than 275 Van Gogh paintings come to life in a visual display of color, beauty and astounding creativity.   The exhibition is just long enough to leave you fulfilled while also wishing for just a little more.  The perfect combination for spectacular.

A must see for all ages.  If you love art, go.  If you don’t love art but you love color, go!   If you don’t love art or color but appreciate beauty, go.  If you are a curmudgeon and just want to get out of your house, absolutely go!.  If you don’t know why but you feel like a try….. you go, too!  Everyone should see this exhibit.  It’s just that good.

Beyond Van Gogh…. Go!
